When livestock drink pathogen contaminated water they become “off colour” and loose appetite. This appetite loss results in a lower weight gain in all growing animals.
Healthy livestock increased weight gain
As has been concluded in many studies, a healthy animal will gain 10% to 28%* more weight per annum than one drinking pathogen infected waters. This is usually caused by the presence of faeces and urine in the drinking water source.
